The Aylmer Fair - It's All for You!

The Ambassador Competition creates a wonderful opportunity for young people from the Aylmer area.
The Ambassador will represent Aylmer at the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies District 13
Meeting in November 2010, at the OAAS Convention in Toronto in February 2011, at the CNE in Toronto
in August 2010 and at various functions locally throughout the year. These events provide the opportunity
to meet other young people from across Ontario and make friends.

* Contestants may be male or female, and must be between the ages of 17 and 22 years of age and
must be a resident of Elgin County.
* Contestants will be judges on poise, personality, general appearance, a private interview and a short
speech.
* All Contestants are asked to participate Thursday and Friday of the Fair getting to know their way
around.
* All Contestants are encouraged to attend all days of the Fair.
* The winner will be announced during the Opening Ceremonies of the Aylmer Fair on Friday, August
13th at 6:30 p.m.

Sponsorship of Contestants is open to businesses, service clubs, churches, individuals, etc. Sponsors
must provide their Contestant’s $20 Entry fee and a sash with sponsor’s name. Corsages/ boutonnieres
are not required, as they will be provided by the Fair Board. All Ambassador expenses after crowning will
be covered by the Fair Board.
